Aunt Leah's Christmas Hamper Blues: Saturday, December 21st

No man, for any considerable period, can wear one face to himself, and another to the multitude, without finally getting bewildered as to which may be true. -Nathaniel Hawthorne, writer (1804-1864)

More from Gramps, his Christmas collection of Snowmen!!

  • Patrick James Dunn What a jaunty Snowman! Great scarf! Love how he wears his heart on his sleeve!

Hi Big Al! and Desk Girl!

Not a big deal from my point of view either. However, I'd like to give you some "shortbread" so am wondering what is best way to drop off a bag. Are you around this weekend? Coriandre and I are off to New West shortly to pack hampers for Aunt Leah's. We could swing by your place at some point if someone will be home. I'll probably call you from my new, non-Android, non-iPhone device later this morning to see if we can manage an exchange! Cheers, Trizzio!

    Hi Pat,

That's very nice to be packing hampers for one and thinking about coming by as well. Colleen is laying down still as she had surgery on Wednesday and is sore still and not moving around too much but otherwise doing well. I was thinking about grabbing a couple last minute things but probably won't, best just to call my cell. Cheers.Hi Patrick,

I just got back from Norway. Are you still in town? Victor and I would like to pay you a visit. Cheers, Patrick

Hello Patrizzio, Numero Due, and Vittorio!

Welcome home, Mr Fjord! What a wonderful trip/stay you must have had. Be delighted to see you both. We are having people for dinner this evening but if you are free, pop over anytime, now, and have a drink and meet our guests.

One of them is Paul Whitney, former City Librarian and colleague of Cora Lee's. Other is Jo-Anne Naslund, a Reference Librarian at the Education Library at UBC now. I actually hired her, in the mid-'80's, along with my former boss, Howard Hurt, now, sadly, deceased. Come and make some important contactos, particularly Vittorino. You could also pop by later, after 9:00 pm, and/or phone, 604-734-9200, this evening for dessert and postprandial maltage!

At any rate, if tonight doesn't fit, we are home tomorrow evening. Just let us know your schedule and we'll make something work. Again, welcome back, Trizzio. I still want to be your friend Vittorio! Cheers, Patrizzio, NUMERO UNO!!!!

Snap: Cora Lee and I were packing Christmas hampers at Aunt Leah's this morning. Chloë's office at Aunt Leah's; Cora Lee sitting at her desk!

Hey Patrick, We will pop by sometimes after 930. Vittorino gets off work at 9. Cheers, Mr. Fjord

    Hello Everyone!

Just a quick note to say thanks for all the wonderful wine and more than tasty appetizers and baked goods that people contributed. Much appreciated. Both Cora Lee and I enjoyed the evening immensely and trust the same can be said for the guests! Fondestos and Cheers, Patrizzio!
