Woke Up This Mornin' with Them Old Monday Mornin' Blues: January 6th

My own experience and development deepen every day my conviction that our moral progress may be measured by the degree in which we sympathize with individual suffering and individual joy. -George Eliot (Mary Ann Evans), novelist (1819-1880)

Hello Citizen X!

I plan to go for a ride, probably between 10:00am-11:00 am, after I chauffeur Cora Lee and accomplish a number of other errands. I assume I'll be back at Malt Centrale around 3:00 pm. Give me a shout at home when your wanderings are close to completion. Cheers, Patrizzio!

Hi Patrice,

Glad you’re happy with the desk and appreciate the work and the challenge as of course it wasn’t exactly a straight forward build with all the custom fitting into the space.  I assume when you evict Chloe out and take over tenancy you will use it as a display unit/ cleaning station for your bike with malt storage underneath!
Speaking of which I heard that the only reason Whirlygig was so drunk is that he accidentally switched camel packs with you when you guys were getting ready for your ride and of course not being used to the continuous malt intake like yourself found himself feeling quite tipsy by the time ride was over... very unfortunate event as it was of course.

I will definitely consult George and Jacob re bike as you suggested and we’ll talk soon. Thanks again! Al

thank you, hic; and a happy new year; from matt and catherine

Pat, it's sad to say but it looks like the whole batch of wine is either worthless or drunk.  We tried a sampling of each of the different varietals, and it was hard to say which one had fared the worst for the wait.  We brought a few of our close friends over to help us do the sampling, and we opened bottle after bottle in search of one that was still quaffable.  Well, there were one or two, but it's definitely a hit or miss sort of chance you take in twisting the cap.  We'll leave the few bottles that escaped our scientific sampling for you when next you come down so you can experience the same land-mined winescape that we poor Berkloids had to endure.  Any chance you'll be down soon? Or should we just kick open the rest of the bottles, drain those that are corked (hard to do without a cork) and pour the contents away and take what limited pleasure there is to be had in those that fall on the side of palatable? With genuine sorrow for your loss....Cactus

Nadienka!
P.S. Unfortunately for us, the dregs that have withered in the bottle for the last four years do compare favorably to some of those we sampled in Sonoma Valley today. How badly off we are without the Condutore at the helm.....

Thanks Pat for your recent missive! Happy New Year to you and to Corrine!! Gail and I just back from Mexico; lovely and peaceful hiatus. Let's all have a wee dram soon, cheers Colin

I will drop up to see you tonight about this message. W HMCS Drumheller or Peterbourgh. Howard Edward Smith. OBit. Wayne

Hi Pat,

Sorry, my laptop sort of melted down and it took a day to get it up and running again. Below, please find a link to episode 2 of Downton. It should be a hyperlink, and it should take you to a page where you can either watch the episode or, in the middle of the page at the bottom is a link to ‘download’.

Let me know if it works, and if not I’ll put the rest of the episodes on a USB key and drop them by. That might be easiest, anyway. -A.
